We see the children of our community with the words of Jesus ever in our minds, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'
Our part-time ministry worker, Katie Pratt, runs the children’s ministry.
Volunteer leaders are all trained and required to attend Creating Safe Spaces regularly, hold a current Working with Vulnerable People card and sign a Code of Conduct. They love working with children and have a great passion for sharing Jesus with them.
The children participate in services through bible reading, prayer and drama. There's a children’s talk. Children go down the front to get close to the action and join in. They're also encouraged to serve where they can with parents or carers.
A creche room is available at both our Sunday services for parents. [Parent/carer supervision is required at all times]. Audio from the service is broadcast to the creche room so you don’t miss out.
Every Sunday through the school term we run our children’s program, Lighthouse Kids, during our morning service.
The Lighthouse Kids primary school aged children spend time growing in their faith and connecting with each other in their relevant peer groups. They also come together as a larger, intergenerational bunch to worship and share their discoveries.
We would love to have your child come along and have fun, learn from the Bible and get to know the love of God found in our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ!
Bubs+Us is a babies, toddlers, preschoolers and parents/carers playgroup for ages 0-5 years which meets during the week.
It’s a space for the little ones, mums, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, au pairs and carers to gather and connect and have a whole heap of fun. While the kidlets are exploring their world and making new friends, the grown-ups are able to find support during this challenging, yet wonderful life stage and uplift each other in their parenting/caring roles.
Bubs+Us is registered with ACT Playgroups, which enables us to serve our local community.
When: 9:30 am to 11:30 am every Tuesday during school term.
